Sales, Discounts, and Special Offers
Unless otherwise noted, all sales or special offers are for a limited duration, apply to orders within New Zealand, and may not be combined with any other outstanding offer. This includes, but is not limited to, combining free shipping offers, industry insider discounts, or other coupons with site-wide discounts or offers. REM Design Ltd does not offer rain checks on sale items unless specifically noted on the product page. Note any offers of free shipping only apply to major cities within New Zealand.
General
By purchasing products from REM Design Ltd, registering for any of our services, or registering for an account on this site, you agree to all of the terms and conditions set out on this page including Returns, Privacy, Shipping, and Customer Services.
REM Design Ltd may from time to time update these terms. We will notify you via email or a prominent posting on this page or the page that best represents the policy that has been modified. Continued use of REM Design Ltd after such notification indicates that you accept any and all changes. Users who do not subscribe to our newsletter are encouraged to check this page periodically for changes.
Our rates and offerings may change from time to time. As a result, prices and availability of items in our collection are subject to change until orders are placed. When placing orders, charges reflected in your Shopping Cart, including merchandise prices, are subject to correction in the event of calculation or printing errors. If a pricing error occurs, REM Design Ltd will contact you before proceeding to fill your order.
REM Design Ltd is a New Zealand business, all transactions will be billed in New Zealand dollars.
While the REM Design Ltd team works diligently to review the safety of all products, REM Design Ltd cannot be held liable for accidents resulting in personal injury that involve a product purchased on the site. In addition, REM Design Ltd is not responsible for copyright, registration or licensing infringement of products sold on the site.
Privacy Policy
We are committed to respecting your privacy and recognizing your need for appropriate protection and management of personally identifiable information you share with us (the phrases "personally identifiable information" or "personal information" mean any information by which you can be identified, such as your name, address, telephone number, etc.). The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform you what personally identifiable information or personal information we may collect from you when you visit our website, how we use such information, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to review and correct such information. This policy applies only to users accessing our website from the New Zealand.
As a part of our commitment to your privacy, REM Design Ltd, has laid out some guidelines.. We have agreed (1) to provide customers with notice of their ability to opt out of information rental, sale, or exchange with other marketers; (2) to honour customers' requests not to share their information with other marketers; and (3) to honour customers' requests not to receive mail, telephone or other solicitations from us.

We use the personally identifiable information you provide for internal purposes, such as confirming and tracking your order, subscription or registration, analyzing trends and statistics, informing you of our new products, services, and offers, and providing you with information from and about REM Design Ltd, From time to time we may establish a business relationship with other persons or entities whom we believe trustworthy and whom we have asked to confirm that their privacy policies are consistent with ours. In such cases we may share and cross-reference information, including personally identifiable information about you that will enable such persons or entities to contact you regarding products and services that may be of interest to you.
To serve you better, we may combine information you give us online with publicly available information and information we receive from or cross-reference with our select partners and others. We use that combined information to enhance and personalize your shopping experience with us, to communicate with you about our products and events that may be of interest to you, and for other promotional purposes.
We may contract with companies or persons to provide certain services including credit card processing, shipping, data management, promotional services, etc. We call them our service providers. We provide our service providers with the information needed for them to perform these services. We also ask our service providers to confirm that their privacy practices are consistent with ours.
Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personally identifiable information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against persons or entities who may be causing injury to you, to REM Design Ltd, or to others. We may also disclose your personally identifiable information when we believe the law requires it.
Editing, Updating, Correcting, and Deleting Information About You
We want to communicate with you only if you want to hear from us. If you prefer not to receive information from us or from our select partners please let us know. Please be sure to include your email address, full name, and specifically what information you do not want to receive. If you would like to update or correct your email address, street address, or other personal information with us please contact us the same way.
Please note that sometimes these requests may take up to 6-8 weeks to be effective, particularly if we are removing your name from postal mailings. In addition, when you purchase from us online or when you choose to enter a sweepstakes or other promotion, we may need to contact you via phone, email, or regular mail in order to address questions or issues specific to your order, entry, etc., even if you have opted to not receive communications.
Please remember, if you delete certain information you may not be able to continue to purchase products or access other portions of our website without entering additional information.
Protecting Children
REM Design Ltd, takes special care to protect the safety and privacy of children. Our websites are general audience sites. We do not permit anyone under the age of 13 to register with us. We also do not send email correspondence to persons who tell us that they are under the age of 13 unless we have their parents' consent.
Children under age 13 should always ask their parents or guardians for permission before providing personal information to anyone online. We urge parents and guardians to participate in their children's online activities and use parental control or other web filtering technology to supervise children's access to the web.

We urge you to keep your password somewhere safe and not to divulge it to anyone. Also, remember to sign off your account and close your browser window when you have finished your visit. This is to ensure that others cannot access your account, especially if you are sharing a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place such as a library or internet cafe.

Our website may contain links to websites operated and maintained by third parties over which we have no control. Privacy policies on such linked sites may be different from our privacy policy. Policy Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy in whole or in part, we will inform you by posting a notice on our website. Those changes will go into effect on the date posted in the notice. The new policy will apply to all current and past users of our website and will replace any prior policies that are inconsistent with it. This policy was posted in December 2008.
Shipping

Delivery charges are per product. Should you wish to have an assembly service and if we offer this service in your area the cost is additional.
Once you have submitted an order we will check to see if you want assembly if it is required. Please note that deliveries to your area may only be on specific days of the week. Delivery should be made on any standard orders within a week, any delays further than this and you will be given the option by phone or email to refund your order.
We are normally prepared to make deliveries to any room within a residence or commercial site. However, this is subject to reasonable health and safety issues such as staircases being wide enough for goods being delivered or there is no danger of any damage to the goods or your property. If the product being delivered is large and bulky then do please check to ensure that a delivery to the room of your choice is feasible. If in doubt contact us to discuss the issue.
We do not ship outside of New Zealand unless arranged directly with management.
The quality of our products is guaranteed and all items are inspected before leaving the warehouse.
Damaged Or Defective Items
Please open all boxes immediately and check contents upon delivery. Freight carriers should wait for you to sign the Bill of Lading until after you have thoroughly inspected your delivery. Any damage to the packaging or contents should be noted on your Airbill or Bill of Lading with your signature of receipt.
If you received an item that is defective or damaged in transit you must notify us within 2 days. Please immediately take a digital picture of the item and the shipping box and send it via email to stacey@remdesign.co.nz. For items damaged in shipping, all packing materials must be saved so that a claim can be filed with the shipper. Once you have provided us with this information we will send you complete instructions on how we will remedy the situation for you as quickly as possible.
Returns
Merchandise purchased at full price may be returned within 14 days of shipment for store credit, less shipping fees, only. No refunds will be issued. Returned items must have proof of purchase, original tags and packaging, and be in new condition.
REM Design is not responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in transit. Therefore, we recommend you use a shipping service with insurance and tracking number capability. Include a copy of your packing slip or receipt with any return so that it may be identified as your order. Once items are received and inspected, a store credit will be issued for the amount of the merchandise returned less shipping charges. Store credits are valid for one year from the date issued. Items purchased on Sale, marked “special order,” “custom,” or “built to order” are not eligible for cancellation or refund.
Sale Items
Sale items are sold as-is and are final sales.
Consumers Guarantees Act
REM Design adheres to the Consumers Guarantees act and will not refund if you change your mind.
